He was from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was weird and fun at the same time. Just a blast from the past, that popped up in my mind. He was “shomer Shabbat” but we were always chatting online and texting on Shabbat. For a while I was under the impression that he was shomer negiah too but he gave me a huge hug in the middle of Union Square one day - I did not expect that.

My thoughts on Leiby Kletzky's tragic death.
I have not been able to sleep since Leiby Kletsky went missing. He was buried last night and still I feel deeply disturbed. I find myself perusing the news obsessively, waiting for the newest video, the latest scoop, perhaps hoping for a more satisfying explanation for this horrific event, a more comprehensible motive than “just because.”
